Description
BridgeValley Community and Technical College invites applications for adjunct (part-time) positions to serve in the Academic Affairs Division. These individuals will be responsible for the instruction of credit courses and maintaining lab equipment/areas as assigned. These positions will also be responsible for instruction of accelerated courses when applicable. Courses include process equipment, process systems, process operations, water/wastewater, quality, process applications and process fundamentals. The standard rate of pay for a three credit hour lecture course is $1,800 per semester with additional stipends for laboratory hours.
Examples of Duties
Instruct credit courses by identifying learning outcomes/competencies, developing lesson plans, syllabi and curriculum which establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects.
Complete required recordkeeping and grade entry for assigned courses.
Stay in communication with assigned Department Chair and Dean.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or significant experience in chemical/process plants.
Preferred
Teaching experience.
Aptitude for using technology and innovative methods for instructional delivery, particularly for Blackboard learning management system.
