** The Office of Risk, Ethics, and Compliance is looking to fill 3 roles, Privacy Specialist I and II, and Privacy, Manager. See details below.

Privacy Specialist I - under general direction, is responsible for supporting privacy related programs and policies.

Salary: $68,170

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of related experience in administering privacy programs and policies. ​

Essential Duties and Tasks:

Privacy Program Implementation and Support

  • Implements and supports privacy programs and policies.

  • Reinforces routine business and data management processes that comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Assists in the review and approval of data processing activities to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of data breach response plans and procedures.

​ Compliance Monitoring and Training

  • Creates and delivers privacy training programs, communications, and training materials.

  • Supports compliance monitoring, auditing, and remediation processes.

    Inquiry Response Management

  • Responds to routine inquiries regarding privacy matters from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Escalates inquiries when appropriate.

    Legal Analysis & Reporting

  • Conducts research, analysis, and reporting on the impacts of new legal changes or potential policy changes.

    Privacy Specialist II - under general direction, is responsible for administering privacy related programs and policies.

Salary: $78,395

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of related experience in administering privacy programs and policies.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

Privacy Program Implementation and Coordination

  • Implements and coordinates privacy programs and policies.

  • Reinforces complex business and data management processes that comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Develops and implements data breach response plans and procedures.

  • Coordinates and delivers privacy training programs, communications, and training materials.

Compliance Monitoring and Auditing

  • Administers compliance monitoring, auditing, and remediation processes.

  • Reviews and approves data processing activities to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

  • Responds to both routine and more advanced inquiries regarding privacy matters from internal stakeholders; escalates inquiries when appropriate.

Legal Analysis & Reporting

  • Conducts research, analysis, reporting on the impacts of new legal changes or potential policy changes.

  • Collaborates with legal counsel to interpret and apply privacy laws appropriately.

Stakeholder Engagement & Inquiry Response

  • Responds to inquiries regarding privacy matters from external stakeholders; escalates inquiries when appropriate.

Investigations & Mitigations/Sanctions

  • Work on investigations, document mitigations and/or sanctions.

  • Review post-investigation to ensure that mitigation strategies have been implemented; that they are effective; or are being addressed in appropriate ways with the Privacy Office.

    Manager, Privacy - under general direction, is responsible for implementing and enforcing the organization’s privacy strategy, policies, procedures and initiatives. Responsible for supervising and leading privacy staff.

Salary: $97,994

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six years of related experience in administering privacy programs and policies

Essential Duties and Tasks:

Privacy Strategy Management

  • Manages the implementation and enforcement of the organization’s privacy strategy, including policies and procedures.

  • Leads new privacy-related programs, projects, and initiatives.

  • Ensures all business data management processes reflect privacy requirements and comply with rules, regulations, and laws.

  • Oversees privacy training programs and communications.

  • Assists in strategic planning for overseeing privacy strategy.

Compliance Oversight

  • Manages compliance monitoring, auditing, and remediation efforts.

  • Oversees responses to inquiries at all levels regarding privacy matters.

  • Serves as a resolver of escalated inquiries.

Reporting & Communication

  • Leads research and prepares communications in response to privacy-related events or inquiries.

  • Provides reports, presentations, and metrics to leadership as required.

Investigations, Mitigations/Sanctions and IT Privacy reviews

  • Manages investigations and helps in determining mitigations and/or sanctions validation.

  • Over time, ensure that mitigations and sanctions are being met and are effective.

  • Help perform Privacy IT reviews to determine that appropriate security and privacy guidelines are in place where regulated data is being stored, managed, and transferred.

  • Work with IT to create new/updated standards where necessary.
