The Product Manager is responsible for driving the success of our 3D printing services portfolio. This role involves leading strategic initiatives, conducting market analysis, and defining market requirements to guide product development. The manager plays a key role in shaping the overall materials product strategy and roadmap, optimizing current product sales, and identifying areas for improvement. They lead the development of the offer with compelling value propositions, pricing strategies and financial business cases. Additionally, this position collaborates with stakeholders on product pricing strategies, oversees the customer user experience, and manages the e-commerce platform roadmap. The goal is to ensure the growth and competitiveness of our products by identifying customer needs and driving the vision, execution, and business objectives of the printing services offered by Stratasys Direct.

What you will be doing:

Strategic Product Planning:

  • Conduct market analysis and VOC to identify the target customer and their needs.

  • Define market and product requirements, including financial business cases.

  • Collaborate and strategize with the Stratasys ecosystem Product team – Printer, Material and Software

  • Demonstrates strategic agility, able to see ahead clearly and anticipate future consequences of planned actions.

  • Maintain a project management framework aligned with strategic objectives/

Product Development and Launch:

  • Develop and implement go-to-market plans for new products.

  • Lead successful organization-wide product launches.

  • Create market requirements documents to guide product development., taking actions to implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

  • Translate customer value elements into functional requirements for the engineering team.

Competitive Analysis and Sales Optimization:

  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking.

  • Monitor current product sales, evaluate revenue and profit impact, and prioritize improvements.

  • Collaborate on product pricing, positioning strategies, and profitability with stakeholders.

Marketing and Customer Experience Management:

  • Build and maintain product awareness internally and externally.

  • Define marketing initiatives to increase customer material utilization.

  • Manage customer user experience and collaborate on go-to-market strategies.

  • Develop and manage the e-commerce platform roadmap.

  • Craft compelling value propositions based on customer needs and market positioning.

Other

Must have for this role:

  • Must be Export Control Compliant (ITAR) ☒ Yes ☐No

  • Bachelor's degree in, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Five years of experience in product management, engineering, or operations role at a technology company, large manufacturing, or consulting role working with large global manufacturers.

  • Proven experience across the full cycle of new product development.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to understand the business models of our customers and prospective customers and define where additive manufacturing can have an impact.

  • Excellent communication and presentation and project management skills.

  • Results oriented.

  • Able to lead informally be exercising influence across the organization.

Nice to have:

  • MBA degree.

  • In-depth knowledge of materials engineering, including mechanical, electrical, software, and materials disciplines.

  • Experience leading successful product launches in a technology-driven industry.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience in preparing and presenting business plans.

Travel required: 25%
