What we want

The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for an Program Aide - part-time to serve as a member of the Microbial Pathogenesis and Immunology team. You will be responsible for conducting protein purification and characterization experiments in a medicinal protein laboratory.

What you need to know

Please note: This position is grant funded; future employment may be contingent upon future funding.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Biochemistry or equivalent degree

  • 1-2 Years of related experience in molecular cloning and protein purification.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.

  • Sterile technique, microbial cultivation, qPCR, molecular cloning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in protein purification and molecular Biology.

Responsibilities

Research

  • Performing protein purification and characterization experiments focused on creating new diagnostics.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
