What we're looking for:

You are a highly skilled, forward thinking Sales Cloud Architect who has proven experience implementing new initiatives and translating business objectives into technical solutions within the Salesforce Platform.

Position Summary

As the Sales Cloud Architect you will partner with business and development managers to develop, enhance, and maintain existing Salesforce customized software solutions. You will design, implement, troubleshoot, and document all assigned areas of responsibility within the business applications or enterprise. You will be responsible for adhering to the architectural standards of the team and department and for overcoming technical challenges. You must effectively communicate with other development team members and demonstrate the ability to deliver quality results in a timely fashion.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the different business functions in defining program rules and translating to system solutions

  • Collaborate with Sales and Support management to drive CRM process improvement, using business process modeling and other techniques.

  • Attend meetings with business and IT technical team members to define business and system use cases and E2E solution flow

  • Implement new and upgrade existing applications and application functionality.

  • Assist migration and operations planning

  • Maintain proper documentation for work flow processes, POC, LOVs, migration plans, standard operating procedures, topologies, and web statistics in accordance with business requirements.

  • Define KPI's and metrics.

  • Support Salesforce production readiness and health check reviews.

  • Analyze functional components and design technical solutions on Salesforce sales & service cloud areas, including forecasting, territory management, etc.

  • Apply focused knowledge of processes, according to area of development to the data requirements, automated business solutions, integration issues

  • Participate in activities with team members for successful transition of application through development, testing, implementation and maintenance stages.

  • Support the development of internal tools, deployment solutions, and processes for the development team.

  • Work to build relationships with cross-functional team members to ensure successful implementations of company and department wide projects

  • Provide support to other developers and development managers as needed.

  • Active participation in the development and implementation stages of the system development life-cycle including analysis, coding, troubleshooting, documentation, and testing

  • Document important flows / processes for all development projects assigned.

  • Provide a timely response when diagnosing and resolving support problems

  • Support production applications to ensure their stability

  • Manage data transfer/mapping between Salesforce.com and other applications/databases

  • Create weekly report to inform management of the status of assigned tasks.

  • Troubleshoot basic problems and identify solutions

  • Support QA and UAT for enhancements and productions fixes.


  • Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce application implementation and expertise in Sales and Service cloud areas

  • Familiarity with overall SFDC architecture and various integrated applications, including Marketo

  • Experience with the coordination, planning and release management efforts for Salesforce solutions.

  • Capabilities in the analysis, design, and development of Salesforce application requirements based on best industry standard as per the business needs.

  • Good understanding to entire SDLC from solution definition, solution architecture definition to design, development, and testing of the SFDC application and agile delivery methodology

  • Should have good experience in data migration and debugging

  • Applied knowledge of the solution definition, design, layout and configuration of the SFDC implementation and related applications

  • Ability to develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop point-of-view, delivery methodologies, etc as related to SFDC

  • Solid experience working with CRM integration/migration

  • SFDC experience in areas such as Territory Management, Forecasting, Lead Management, Campaign Management, Opportunity Management, Customer Service/Case Management, and Dashboard/Report development

  • In depth understanding of Salesforce OOB configurations and platform capabilities, including security, integrations, profiles/roles, sharing rules, etc.

  • Preferable Apex development experience, using Salesforce triggers, batch APEX, scheduled APEX, session management

  • Object oriented development (Java/J2EE) programming experience is a plus

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires deep knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • Viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management.

  • Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6 years; or PhD with 3 years of experience.
