We are seeking a forward-looking Mid-Level – Senior Architect who can independently perform a variety of conventional and moderately complex architectural assignments by applying architectural design standards, practices, and techniques for a federal client with a nation-wide facilities footprint. You will exercise discretion and independent judgment in developing original designs and oversee projects from design development through construction. Work will entail design of new facilities as well as renovation of existing spaces to incorporate new designs standards that enhance employee well-being. You will assist the client in the enforcement of design standards, development of facility strategies and reviews of designs for facilities during the project planning, design, and construction phases to ensure the Government standards and industry codes are followed.
Location:
Ideally the candidate will be located in Euless, TX, Washington, DC, or Aliso Viajo, CA but work can be performed remotely from anywhere within U.S.
Responsibilities
Performs a variety of assignments such as conducting architectural studies, developing design concepts and design criteria. Reviews CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, models, and construction documents.
Writes construction specifications and prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Interfaces with suppliers as required.
Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project site. Reviews, approves, and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
Perform and review portfolio planning including capital improvements, budgeting, alternative analysis, and cost estimates.
Ensure Government, state, and local regulations, codes, directives and standards are met.
Experience in adaptive reuse, building renovation, expansion, and new construction.
Work closely with internal teams to conceptualize, design and produce project documentation.
Set, monitor and maintain project budgets, work plans, and schedules through all phases of the design process.
Required Skills & Required Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
8+ years of experience
Must be a Licensed Architect
Application of architectural design standards, practices, and techniques, including sketching, rendering, model-building, and presentation drawing.
Proficiency in CAD, Revit, Adobe InDesign and other software packages typically associated with architectural design
Knowledge of code requirements and ability to efficiently interface with agencies having jurisdiction
Travel will be required within the U.S.

Full Benefits Package Available
Salary: based upon experience and location
Mid-Level Architect- $85,000 – $120,000
Senior Architect- $105,000 – $140,000
