What we're looking for:
You are a software engineer who knows how to apply engineering principles to operations. You have demonstrable experience managing or developing a multi-tenanted SaaS. You are well versed in a large number of technologies and welcome new tools and techniques. You work in conjunction with fellow developers and operations members to come to the best possible solution. If you have 3+ years of software development experience with one or more languages (C#, Java, Python, Go, Node.js) and are proficient in one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), we’d love to speak with you!
Citrix believes that Operations efforts are an Engineering problem, not a human problem. We are looking for talented engineers to help us build an autonomous cloud capable of reliably serving 1 billion users. Gone are the days of logging onto a machine to fix or troubleshoot it. That simply does not scale in large cloud environments. Instead, we build autonomy into our products, tools, and environments to do Operations for us. Engineering a solution that can withstand failure and scaling challenges is paramount to our success. Every Cloud Governance Engineer in Unified Cloud Engineering (UCE) is responsible for the Security, Availability, Performance, Compliance, and Cost of Citrix cloud services.
Develop our next generation governance platform
Provide common solutions to multiple teams by identifying and addressing patterns in infrastructure and applications
Work with other development teams to design scalable, robust systems using cloud native architecture principles
Develop software and provide hands-on technical expertise to design, deploy, and optimize Cloud services
Participate in an on-call rotation for the cloud governance platform
Build framework policy engine that will monitor all security in the cloud, provide guidance on remediation; offer a fully autonomous service
3+ years of software development experience with one or more languages (C#, Java, Python, Go, Node.js)
Proficiency in one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) or in large-scale SaaS on any platform
Solid understanding of security concepts at scale
Experience managing authentication and authorization across a large organization including handling employee lifecycles and role-based access control
Requires advanced knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management
Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years; or a PhD without experience
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Experience with working on systems or applications at scale
Scaled agile framework for enterprise (SAFe) certifications or experience
Experience with logging platforms and application performance using NewRelic, Splunk, SumoLogic, or App Insights Analytics
Security/compliance background is a plus
Experience with source control and continuous integration tools Git/GitHub or BitBucket
Experience working with Microservices architectures
Experience with container technologies such kubernetes and Docker on cloud platform
