Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary:

As a Senior Financial Analyst on Initiatives, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis across several Bentley Initiatives/Subsidiaries. You will work closely with business leaders, finance, and accounting teams to ensure data accuracy. You will also support the budgeting and forecasting processes, provide recommendations for process optimization, as well as conducting ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions. This position requires a strong background in financial and data analysis, critical thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial reporting, forecasting and analysis for several Bentley Initiatives and Subsidiaries

  • Collaborate with business owners to understand revenue and expense drivers and establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to help understand business performance.

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis on variance and trend.

  • Monthly review with business leaders on performance and gain insights on the trend and variance on the business drivers

  • Support the annual budgeting process by understanding the business plan, identifying the financial implications and making assumptions on the underlining drivers.

  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects and initiatives.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, related field (Master's/MBA a plus), or relevant training and experience

  • Proven experience in financial and business performance analysis, preferably in a professional services or software company

  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial statements

  • Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, etc.) and experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI)

  • Intellectual curiosity and fast learning skill

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive and positive attitude.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to a diverse audience.

  • Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think "outside of the box."

  • This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week.

  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements (https://www.bls.gov/ors/factsheet/visual-overview-of-physical-demands.htm) ).

  • This role requires infrequent travel to a Bentley office location.
