What we're looking for:

We're looking for an outstanding Senior Legal Counsel passionate about supporting the Citrix's legal and compliance initiatives for the Latin America region. If you have 10+ years of proven experience and are looking to increase your knowledge in the technology industry, then we'd love to speak with you!

Primary Responsibilities

Assist Chief Compliance Officer on supporting the company’s legal/regulatory compliance initiatives, including anti-corruption, general trade compliance, deal risks operations, investigations, and related programs and projects.

Maintain a sharp focus on regulatory compliance requirements, legal practices and sales activities and implementing continuous process improvements to recommends operational plans and strategies that will directly impact the achievement of overall functional results.

Need to understand sophisticated compliance, contractual and business issues, assess risk and provide concise advice to internal functions, with clear explanations and risk assessments.

Must possess Software, SaaS and Cloud industry knowledge, particularly as to sales terms, cycles and practices.

Earn the trust and respect of different departments and customers with clear, respectful, timely communication, and unquestionable integrity. This includes being eloquent, diplomatic, approachable and possessing good judgment.

Maintain a proactive approach to compliance issue identification, planning and closure, keeping different functions and LCA management informed of progress and issues requiring management’s direct involvement.

Train and guide clients within Citrix to help them understand and follow the law, as well as LCA processes and policies.

Embrace change in the organization and the role, working collaboratively to ensure our clients receive excellent support and service.

Basic Requirements

  • English and Spanish professional proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong business awareness.

  • 10 years of law firm and/or in-house public company experience required with a minimum of 5 years of in-house experience in a software, Cloud and SaaS service provider.

  • Excellent project management and negotiation skills are required.

  • Hands-on experience drafting, negotiating and leading all aspects of software, Cloud and SaaS sales deals, including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, trade compliance.

  • J.D. from a law school. License to practice law and in good standing in USA, UK or in a Latin American country.

  • Must have disposition to travel if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent attention to detail, outstanding data analysis and project management skills.

Knowledge of tax regulatory environment in Latin America.

Self-motivated, problem solver, teammate with the ability to drive multiple projects, often time critical, identify and resolve issues, and earn the confidence and cooperation of functional leaders and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to remain calm and work well under pressure.

Has extensive knowledge of technology contracts construction, revenue recognition principles, business law and seeks opportunities for continuous learning.
