What we're looking for:
You are a curious, driven, and passionate Sr. Revenue Accounting Manager. You are looking to manage a relationship with our regional finance sales team where you will help to support nonstandard deal structuring, including the ASC 606 Revenue Recognition inclusion on and approval of non-standard pricing and contract terms and conditions. You have a preferred 10 years’ experience in a technical accounting revenue recognition role with people managing experience at a publicly traded company that reports to the SEC.
You are a subject matter expert in preparing and maintaining analysis of monthly multi-element revenue sales for review by Senior Management. You also have fostered ideas to work effectively/efficiently to support the sales cycle while meeting financial statement close objectives and timelines.
The Sr. Manager of Worldwide Revenue Operations will work as part of the Americas Revenue Operations team focusing on financial operation reporting and analysis of monthly sales activity with ownership and accountability over a particular focus area such as large deal desk activities or consulting services and direct management of several sales areas. Additionally, you will be directly involved in all aspects of revenue accounting, including management of deferred revenue, multi-element revenue arrangements and SSP calculations along with involvement in sales discounting programs. This position will report to the Director, Americas Revenue Operations in the WW Revenue Operations organization.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
Review deal conclusion (ASC 606) packages based on control requirements
Review accounting activity during the quarter to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements
Manage the finance relationship with the functional sales and operations teams with non-standard deal and program structuring in area of focus, including analysis of impact to SSP, Relative Selling Price, and operations.
Manage preparation and analysis of procedure documentation for functions globally or included in Americas Accounting group, specifically as related to the ongoing Sarbanes Oxley initiatives, and related SOX control activity. Includes quarterly review of existing SSP levels and ongoing application of accounting rules and standards.
Review journal entries to support all non-standard transactions in the regions and functions managed.
Customer contract review & analysis concluding on ASC 606 revenue recognition
Ad-hoc Projects and UAT Testing
Expert understanding of accounting guidelines for software revenue recognition
Ability to work with various departments and manage multiple priorities/deadlines.
Effectively planning for volume based on resources and capabilities
Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
CPA or Masters Degree (Finance or Accounting) required
Big 4 Public accounting experience highly preferred (5 years)
Detailed working knowledge of GAAP required
Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one job area.
Has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience.
