What we're looking for:

You are an expert in the latest coding practices for either MAC OS or IOS or both. You have developed the best of the breed applications or systems. You come with very strong analytical and technical skills to projects that are enterprise level, complex and challenging.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, validation, deployment and sustenance of features for Mac/iOS Apps. You will work with Developers, Architects, Product Managers, User Experience experts and other key stakeholders, to design and implement functionality critical to our business success. We are looking for people who have ideally got experience in working with customers when needed and who can get on calls and understand problems and fix them. You will be involved with planning and prioritization of design and development activities to resolve a wide range of issues. You will be expected to demonstrate the ability to multitask; works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced applications for the Mac/iOS platform

  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

  • Prepare test plan, test cases and Execute/automate them.

  • Work on bug fixing, complex customer escalations and improving application performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Basic Qualifications:

  • You will have Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science engineering or related fields.

  • You will have at least 4+ years of experience in software development

  • Proficiency in iOS application development using Objective C/Swift (preferably Enterprise apps)

  • Working knowledge on Cocoa, XCode, Swift and design principals

  • Good knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms and OS

  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, CFNetwork, UIKit etc.

  • In depth Understanding of Apple’s recommended design principles, interface guidelines and and best practices for coding

  • Experience with performance and memory tuning of complex Apps

  • Hands on experience in Multi-threaded programming, and good knowledge of networking concepts

  • Experience of accessing data as JSON/ XML using REST APIs.

  • Have a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.

  • Experience with Agile development methodology (preferably scrum), continuous integration and tools (GIT, JIRA etc.) used to achieve the same

  • Drive and willingness to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic
