Job Description : Services Consulting Engineer
Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote
Rate: $55/hr. on W2.
Roles & responsibilities:
In this highly visible customer facing role as Validation Services Consulting Engineer, you will:
Engage with customers and other Cisco stakeholders on successful planning and execution of validation engagements.
Support next generation Wireless 802.11, R&S, and Catalyst customers to accelerate implementation of new platforms/solutions.
Validate new design solutions to meet customer requirements.
Drive requirements discussions, analyze test requirements, build test lab configurations, author and execute test plans, and document results.
Identify key issues and gaps and work with engineering and delivery teams to resolve them.
Develop/integrate new technologies into lab environments.
Collaborate with Solution Architects from Delivery and Sales teams regarding future initiatives and securing customer business.
Innovate to gain efficiency and accelerate validation efforts.
Identify and facilitate new business growth opportunities.
Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
CCNA Wireless, CCNP preferred
Strong knowledge of Cisco Wireless portfolio (WLCs, APs, Catalyst, CMX, and Prime Infrastructure)
Routing and Switching experience, R&S and/or DC CCNA Required, CCNP Preferred
Strong knowledge of NX-OS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR and IOS configuration.
In addition to above, experience in one or more of the following: BGP, OSPF Routing, LAN Switching, SDWAN, Virtualization
Programming experience/familiarity (Python or Robot Framework preferred)
Test and validation experience (hardware or software)
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and formal presentation)
Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex network problems
Knowledge of Industry Test Tools
Hands on experience with IXIA and/or SPIRENT tools is desirable
