Job Description

JOB DUTIES:

Develop software solutions that support the lab's drug discovery initiatives and applications in Structural Genomics. Jointly work with external research agencies and foundations such as BMGF to develop SharePoint apps for moderation, distribution, and visualization of data. This includes working with various multi-disciplinary teams both internal and external to the organization. Analyze and understand the software requirements of research groups from biochemistry/biophysics domain and develop scientific software and tools for them. Integrate the tools with the existing framework of the lab. Work with IT to understand the DevOps workflow and ensure the in-house tools and its environment are in compliant with norms of both university and the state. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education required: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in computer science or related field.

Minimum Experience required: 3 years (36 months) of software developer experience including in the design, development, maintenance, and training of software applications associated with fields in drug discovery and development, structural genomics, compound screening, and other disease-related biology and management.
