In this role you will be responsible for independently designing, developing, and maintaining advanced and complex Business Intelligence tools and processes (reports, dashboards, scorecards, analytic solutions) to support our Commercial Market stakeholders. The Sr. BIDA will work with and transform large datasets into meaningful and actionable insights, reporting, and self-service tools that support business process reviews, monitoring operational effectiveness, and profitable growth. The Sr. BIDA will work with our Data Delivery & Engineering, Healthcare, and Sales teams to design and build business intelligence tools that blend business knowledge with analytics and insights.

What You Will Do

  • Expert level proficiency in querying databases directly. The ability to query, compile, automate, and manipulate large datasets in the development and creation of performance dashboards for monitoring, reporting, and self-service of goals and KPIs

  • Develop advanced BI content (reports, dashboards, scorecards, analytic solutions) through the entire development life-cycle to provide data necessary to effectively make business decisions and measure goal attainment and overall performance.

  • Lead and participate in work-stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions that emphasize speed to market results.

  • Recommend and implement changes in methods, procedures and policies to streamline processes and improve quality and consistency. Communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders at multiple levels for the areas of Claims, Operations, IT, Healthcare, and Finance to identify, communicate, and implement changes.

  • Create ad hoc reports and data extracts against databases using SQL, MS Excel, PowerBI, and/or Tableau

  • Performance oriented: Coordinates and designs, tests and executes reports, dashboards, and analytic solutions to provide accurate data necessary to effectively make business decisions. Coordinate user acceptance testing with the business community to ensure accurate delivery of data from the business requirements with the goal of receiving sign off.

  • Develops comprehensive knowledge of business area processes and information needs to develop analytics that translate data into action. Monitor performance and trends that impact our operational, financial, and population health performance.

  • Share expertise with business areas and other team members to assist in understanding enterprise data content, definitions and usage and the available analytic tools.

  • Guide and advise business areas and other team members in identifying new data needs and delivery mechanisms for reporting information as well as self-service solutions.

  • Work with business areas to adapt their business processes to effectively use enterprise data sources for information and analytical needs.

  • Ideal candidate has exposure to Python, Teradata and/or Snowflake, and actively contributes to the team's Agile/Kanban methodologies.

  • Team Player: Willingness to support team to achieve goals, desire to learn from others, and brings a positive attitude and excitement for learning and collaboration

  • Mentor and assist other team members as needed

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 5+ years of experience in related field

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA macro)

  • Expert with writing SQL for analyzing data and establishing business rules, metrics, and requirements

  • Advanced Tableau, PowerBI, or other similar data interactive, visualization tools/platforms

  • Demonstrated analytic work experience including: data mining, data visualization, identifying and monitoring performance metrics

  • Good communicator with the ability to work independently and with a team. Demonstrates problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to document processes accurately and thoroughly

Salary Range

$75,900.00 - $136,600.00
