Guthrie Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer - IT Security - Full Time in United States

Summary:

As a key member of the Cybersecurity Operations Engineering team, you are responsible for leading efforts in defending the enterprise from threats and adversaries, both internal and external. The Cybersecurity Engineering team leads security technology research, architecture, engineering, deployment, and operation of system security tooling throughout The Guthrie Clinic. This position will be full-time remote and will function as a service line lead role.

Essential Functions:

  • Significant experience designing and engineering cybersecurity technology such as PAM, MFA, NGFW/UTM Firewalls, Content Filters, DDoS Prevention, Network and Host based IDS/IPS, SIEM, NAC, SAST/DAST, etc.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for responsibilities assigned to the Cybersecurity Engineering team.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.

  • Strong skills in researching new and evolving Cybersecurity solutions and capabilities.

  • Strong ability to train team members and expand current skillsets.

  • Proven ability to drive outcomes and meet goals.

  • Strong scripting skills including, but not limited to, PowerShell, Python and API implementations.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning via training, self-study and formal education to maintain technical proficiency within the cybersecurity domain.

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex Cybersecurity concepts to Senior leadership.

  • 2+ years of coordinating project efforts.

  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing cybersecurity systems, processes, and solutions.

Other Duties:

  • Participate in and maintain membership to cybersecurity relevant Healthcare industry information sharing organizations such as the H-ISAC.

  • Present at Cybersecurity industry forums.

  • Keep supervisor informed on areas of responsibility.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, License & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in a discipline related to information technology or cybersecurity.

  • Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:

  • One or more of the following or commensurate advanced Cybersecurity certificates: CISSP, CEH, CISM or other industry-relevant cyber-security certifications
