Legrandis seeking a strategic, results-drivenMarketing Communications Senior Specialist,responsible for developing and executing marketing programs and tactics that drive consistent growth in the Residential channel. This individual will develop and execute initiatives targeting retail audiences and other customers working alongside our team of internal resources and external partners supporting the Electrical Wiring Devices division.

The ideal candidate has experience in achieving short and long-term objectives through the development and execution of marketing programs, sales and promotional materials, point of purchase merchandising, and retail advertising, etc, confidentially delivering day-to-day activities and priorities on-time, on-budget.

This position will report to the Director, Residential Marketing & Design.

What Will You Do?

  • Develop and implement all retail marketing communications. Responsible for managing the entire process beginning with a creative brief, gaining internal approval, and implementing all marketing materials on time.

  • Work directly with retailers. Works with account managers and retailers to develop joint marketing materials. Present to retailers along with sales teams.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams on agency selection process. Responsible for working with the appropriate agency to ensure on time delivery of marketing materials.

  • Supports the tactical execution of marketing programs, such as customer newsletters and other programs as needed.

  • Develop in-depth understanding of the consumer brands and product offerings along with key differentiators.

  • Measure and analyze program results and implement improvements based on analysis.

  • Employ exceptional project management skills to consistently deliver projects on time and within budget within a complex matrix environment.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.

  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • B.A. in marketing or related field.

    Experience:

  • 5-7 years experience in marketing communications.

  • Experience in retail channel is strongly preferred.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Sound understanding of marketing strategy.

  • Excellent written and proofreading skills.

  • Able to evaluate/edit marketing communication materials.

  • Understanding of retail channel and consumer experience

  • Experience in managing creative agencies strongly preferred.

  • Strong people skills, organizational skills, presentation skills, and business acumen.

  • Must be collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment, with strong leadership skills and desire to develop.

  • Demonstrated experience taking initiative of projects and finding areas of opportunity.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work; superb attention to detail.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including SmartSheet, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Overnight travel required, 1-2 times a quarter.
