ROLE PURPOSEThe Software Engineer will be responsible for the software development (application and embedded) for our hardware and software solutions. This will entail the analysis, architecture, design, coding and testing of all software development activities. In addition, the person will be responsible for the definition and redaction of technical specifications.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES· Software (application, embedded) development for cash management and kiosk devices/solutions· Analyse, architecture, design, code and test· Leads technical workshops on how Glory solutions could be deployed in the clients’ environment and provides inputs to proposals and RFIs/RFPs· Designs solution architecture in consultation with customers, solution teams and documents it· Documents scope of customer engagements which become the input to proposal documents and statements of work (SOWs)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level:· BcS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or other equivalent education

Qualifications:· 5 years in a software developer role

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Mandatory• Excellent background in OOA/OOD/OOC• Excellent background in Python, JavaScript, C++ programming• Good know-how in Linux (x86, ARM) and Windows (x86)• Good know-how in multi-thread programming• Team player• Excellent English (spoken, written)• Fluent in another major European language (Portuguese, Spanish, German, French) is a plus

Important to have• Good know-how in networking (TCP/IP, UDP)• Good know-how in Web development (security, database and frontend)• Know-how in security (SSL, HTTPS, VPN, OCSP, SCEP…)• Know-how in GUI definition and implementation
