Red Hat Vice President, Global Cloud Partnerships in Boston, Massachusetts

The Red Hat Partner Ecosystem Success team is looking for a Vice President, Global Cloud Partnerships to join us. The Partner Ecosystem Success team is a force multiplier. We focus on growing and enabling a vital ecosystem of partners who use Red Hat technology with or in their solutions, provide services for Red Hat products, or sell solutions to end customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and driving the company cloud business, including overall relationships with global cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft and Google, as well as architecting the program for regional cloud providers. You will report directly to the SVP, Red Hat Partner Ecosystem Success.

Driving growth through cloud is a top priority for Red Hat. The VP Global Cloud Partnerships will collaborate closely with executive leaders, technical teams, and field sales teams developing, executing and operationalizing both get to market and go to market plans involving cloud partners. To achieve our Cloud goals, this leader will be expected to lead multidisciplinary teams incorporating product, sales, and corporate functions. They will bring out the best ideas for our company strategy and ensure successful execution through diverse and inclusive open dialogue. They will communicate regularly and transparently with stakeholders and impacted communities. The success of this role has a direct impact on Red Hat revenue delivered through and with cloud partners and therefore this person will be responsible for the overall cloud revenue target and carry it as their primary metric.

A successful candidate must be able to successfully navigate the complexity of an evolving business with resources as both direct reports and in a matrix organization. They will also be able to clearly articulate the strategy and the metrics of success to the top leadership in the company. The candidate is expected to have strong technical knowledge and demonstrated expertise in cloud go-to-market, partners, execution, strategy, and product development. They should have experience across a variety of market segments and industries. This is an outcome-oriented role and the leader should have a proven ability to both build strategies and translate those strategies into successful execution.

Responsibilities

  • Work in close partnership with the business units, corporate strategy and executive leaders across all segments & functions, field teams and cross functional leaders to build and drive execution of overall Cloud growth initiatives.

  • Identify customer value themes tied to their cloud strategy and Red Hat technical advantage and priorities with a prioritized focus on cloud strategy

  • Engage directly with major cloud provider partners and other ecosystem partners to identify and pursue joint priorities

  • Engage directly with field sellers and partner account managers to ensure adoption of Red Hat Cloud strategies in key accounts. Create and communicate processes for GTM execution that are simple and repeatable for Red Hat and partner sellers to deliver scale.

  • Ensure Red Hat solutions and innovations are integrated into creating joint solutions that lead to measured business outcomes.

  • Deliver business results as measured in Red Hat bookings and revenue

  • In partnership with leaders and technical associates work directly with partners and customers to maximize the value of their investments in Red Hat software.

  • Actively promote solution frameworks based upon Red Hat Software products through public-facing events, including speaking engagements, presentation opportunities and participate in relevant panel discussions.

  • Communicate with complete transparency, and create a positive environment for diverse and inclusive collaboration that brings out the best ideas. Update stakeholders and associates regularly on our progress towards our mission.

Required Skills

  • 15+ years of leadership responsibility in a software organization, with demonstrated success achieving partner reference architectures and contributing to the sales targets, and implementing both direct and channel routes to market

  • Proven track record of building and executing strategic plans and cloud solutions that support scalable growth

  • Ability to influence Sr. Leaders in a matrixed and cross-functional environment

  • Lead in a dynamic and diverse globally aligned organization.

  • Dynamic customer and partnership skills; demonstrated ability to partner with senior business and technology leaders and main-stage presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and design novel approaches that balance local customer needs with corporate guidelines and philosophies.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $399,910.00 - $679,910.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
