Ridgeview Medical Center Nutrition Aide in Waconia, Minnesota

Purpose of Job This position is responsible for assisting in food preparation and serving and maintaining a clean and sanitary condition in the kitchen and dining areas. Job Functions Prepares and serves food for patients and cafeteria guests. Assembles and dissembles patient trays. Ability to perform cashier duties that include keying appropriate items for total purchase with applicable discounts. Washes, sanitizes and stores dishes. Assists with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas. Practices and adheres to safety guidelines from the State Department of Health. Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Work Experience Must be at least 15 years old Previous cashier/POS experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Accurately count currency and apply credit card payments Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work independently and in a team Ability to complete basic mathematical problems Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in food industry Previous experience in healthcare cafeteria Serv/Safe certified Customer service experience Previous cashier Link to Employee Health Physical Demands Must be able to work weekdays 4-7pm.
