Maui Urology LLC Medical Office Assistant in Wailuku, Hawaii
Are you looking for a new job with a great team! Maui Urology is hiring a medical office assistant! The ideal candidate would have previous experience in administration in healthcare. We are considering candidates without any experience. Candidates must be reliable and have a pleasant demeanor.
Essential Functions: Greets patients with a warm and inviting demeanor. Check to make sure all information on Patient Profile is correct. Collect any copay that is due. Check patient in. Check out patient and schedule appropriate follow ups. Answer phone and direct to appropriate person or take care of call if appropriate. Take care of any walk in patients either scheduling them or managing their concerns. Assist in managing the fax inbox. Scheduling radiology, imaging and laboratory for patients. Collaborate with providers and other staff as appropriate. Fax chart notes to PCP. Scans and files all documents as appropriate. Ensure provider schedule is filled and managed. Performs similar and incidental duties as assigned.
Experience: Associates Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Plus 1 year related experience as a medical receptionist Knowledge of medical office operations Understanding of an EMR (electronic medical records system) preferably eClinicalWorks
Other Required Experience
Ability to use standard business equipment such as phone, fax, computer, photocopier, etc. Ability to interface with people using tact and diplomacy. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organization and detail-oriented skills. Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent telephone etiquette.

Job Type: Full-time; Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm, sometimes 5:30 due to clinic delays
