At our Fortune 1000 diversified energy company, you’ll find a friendly, community-minded environment, with flexible work schedules, opportunities for growth and development, and competitive pay and benefits.New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking an Energy Efficiency Sales Consultant to provide inside marketing and sales support to achieve new customer goals, margin and customer satisfaction standards.Major Responsibilities:Qualify new customer leads, follow-ups, promote current incentive programs and rebates with potential customers and contractors.Perform outbound calls and emails to stimulate EE program interest in effort to meet department goals.Attain market segment performance growth goals.Attain targeted customer satisfaction goals.Develop program interest and provide segmented market feedback.Adequately identify appropriate program based on project size and customer needs.Build strong relationships with co-workers, contractors, and customers.Collaborate with Engineering, Outreach, and Operations department to maximize program and process efficiency.Skills or experience to perform this roll successfully include lead management with CRM system and generating referral-based business/lead generation.Assist with other duties related to project development and customer services as needed.Position Specifications:Bachelor’s degree in business sales or marketing is preferred.A minimum of 3 years of prior sales and/or utility experience is required.Preferred knowledge of residential and commercial energy consuming equipment, and natural gas utility.Highly motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent persuasive skills, driven to closing deals.Good networking skills and the ability to multitask.Ability to devise sales and growth strategies.Ability to explain product features and benefits effectively.Excellent organization and lead management capabilitiesAbility to work in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.10% travel to networking events.* The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary.New Jersey Resources is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
