JOB SUMMARY
Performs major maintenance on all types of reclosers, regulators, breakers, transformers, and related electrical apparatus equipment as part of the equipment maintenance program for the Apparatus Shop. Provides support to Apparatus Technicians with onsite substation and line inspections, repair, and maintenance of various electrical apparatus.
Terminates AC and DC control cables as needed for installation and repairs. Terminates communication cables including Multi-mode fiber for installation and repair. Assists Apparatus Technicians with installation and repair of Flints TWACS and SCADA systems. Learns and follows all PCB and oil spill response guidelines set up by Flint EMC. Provides support to Meter Technicians including installing metering packages on transformers, bench testing meters, and assisting with field testing meters as needed.
EDUCATION / TRAINING
