Are you a Cloud Platform Engineering Manager who wants to bring groundbreaking, technology-based capabilities, and business models to life? P&G’s “Cloud-First” strategy has quickly led to a massive shift of application development and hosting to the major public clouds. A related transformation is happening within the P&G IMADS organization, which is responsible for managing our product Master Data. We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to define the implementation strategy and lead several development teams through a major technology change in our Orchestration Platform, which automates thousands of tasks related to managing and ensuring the quality of P&G products' data.

In this role, you will:

• Define the best practices, optimization, and standardization for our cloud-based platform in terms of reusability, configuration management, and automation

• Collaborate directly with application management teams and development teams to design solutions efficient for the users' needs in a way that benefits the entire ecosystem

• Govern the development teams to ensure the world-class quality of applications' implementation

• Investigate and resolve complex problems to remove project roadblocks

• Perform cloud platform management via Configuration Management to ensure security and full stack automation for applications, drive the use of the platform, and standards for all applications

• Lead continuous improvement and engineering maturity across cloud solutions

• Continuously innovate, running Proof of Concepts, and assessing Cloud partners 3rd party ecosystem solutions for the applicability for P&G, and maintaining relationships and influencing product teams from our service providers

• Support of the implementation team by coordinating with other teams within the company and more senior managers to clear away obstacles and get the resources their team needs to succeed.

Engineering Managers are engineers themselves, so they need to be hands-on but to solve the problems their teams face, engineering managers need to know how to empower engineers and understand what their strengths are to resolve where they fit on a team. Engineering managers need to have a deep engineering background, with knowledge that can help the team, and know how to pass on that knowledge effectively through creating design documents, code reviews, operational reviews, on-call rotations, incident reviews, and prototyping potential solutions or future capabilities.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields

• 3-7 years working in a technology platform field (cloud, sysadmin, containers, etc.)

• Experience administering major cloud platforms like Azure, Google Cloud or AWS

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Strong teammate, effective collaboration skills

Preferred:

• Certified in Azure Administrator Associate, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or AWS SysOps - Associate

• Experience with SAP systems, Azure Logic Apps, front-end development frameworks

• Good knowledge of security (IAM, Active Directory/LDAP) and networking (high availability, load balancing, firewalls) concepts

• Passionate learner and intellectually curious, and ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks
