Robert Half Cyber Security Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

The Manager Cybersecurity Operations is responsible for managing cybersecurity and privacy risk projects. This individual will manage and contribute to multiple cybersecurity projects. This position will also take lead responsibility in the day-to-day management of responses to cybersecurity incidents including both the internal Incident Response team and any contracted outside party. This position is also an active part of the incident response team and will collaborate to identify, contain, and remediate identified incidents.

This individual will also work on projects related to NIST CSF compliance, including risk remediation projects.

The Manager Cybersecurity Operations is required to have high experience in collaborating and leading a team identifying and managing 3rd party risk throughout lifecycle.

Educational Achievements and Experience:

• Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity Management or related field.

• Certification of one or more of the following, preferred: CISSP, CISM, CTPRP.

• Experience with cybersecurity standards and frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI, etc.

• Experience in cybersecurity of 5-7 years, with at least 5 years managing third party risk.

• Experience in Cybersecurity Incident Response management.

• Mastery of carrying out risk assessments, creating and managing risk registers and POAMs.

• Able to identify, select, track, and report on security metrics.

• Experience working with Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) security tools preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, best practices, and techniques managing activities relating to planning, managing, and implementing cybersecurity projects and related functions.

• Deep knowledge of current threat landscape, including knowledge of malware operation and indicators

Detailed Duties:

The Manager Cybersecurity Operations responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage adoption and compliance with cybersecurity processes, procedures, and policies.

• Continuously assess the organization’s security posture, report findings, make recommendations, implement agreed recommendations, and monitor processes.

• Coordinate and manage ongoing Third-Party risk assessments on set schedules, including completion of the Inherent Risk Questionnaire, Vendor Risk Questionnaire, and fulfilment of the due diligence request list. Collaborating with assigned internal business partners to evaluate risks related to certain third-party service providers, as part of the company's overall third-party risk management program.
