ManTech Future Combat Systems HW Development Lead in Washington, District Of Columbia

Join our dynamic team at ManTech , where innovation meets excellence in the realm of advanced engineering. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Engineer to act as the Future Combat Systems Development Lead to collaborate on cutting-edge projects involving support to the development and acquisition of hardware components to support future Navy combat systems. This position is located in Washington, DC with some local travel to The Forge SW Factory in College, Park, MD.

Job Summary:

This position will support the Principle Program Manager office providing technical and engineering expertise

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Experience related to the identification, analysis and resolution of complex systems engineering issues involving the modernization and evolution of Navy weapon and combat systems.

  • Familiarity with DoD/DON Policies and Procedures, as well as commercial hardware development and sustainment processes, related to systems engineering, development, sustainment, and system level testing.

  • Participation in program management reviews and preparing and coordinating inputs for status reports, briefings and information inquiries

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical studies with a minimum of five(5) years of U.S. Navy Combat Systems experience or acquisition; or ten (10) years of experience in leu of degree

Clearance Requirements:

  • Current and active Secret security clearance

Travel Requirement

  • Local travel will be required up to 10%

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.

The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300-$155,200. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
