Job Description

  • Achieve customer acquisition and retention marketing goals by leveraging Email & SMS tactics across the full customer lifecycle to  ensure that the right content is delivered on the right channel to maximize conversion

  • Effectively manage, coach and mentor staff who deploy standalone and automated email, SMS, and direct marketing campaigns in our marketing automation platform to meet business goals

  • Foster a deep understanding of the CleanChoice Energy user journey across the full marketing funnel to develop and execute thoughtful campaigns that optimize conversion and retention within the Email & SMS channels

    Responsibilities

  • Business owner of CRM marketing programs, strategy, and related analytics & reporting

  • Lead cross-functional email/SMS team strategy in support of business growth objectives

  • Manage three email/SMS marketers including one marketing automations specialist and two email/sms coordinators to support all acquisition and retention email/SMS campaigns

  • Execute personalized automated campaigns using dynamic content and liquid code. Ensure messaging and data are QA’ed and successfully executed

  • Manage the end-to-end production of email and SMS marketing campaigns—build emails using HTML / CSS, set up A/B tests, QA, and send through Braze

  • Write and edit first-rate, compelling email and SMS copy that exemplifies the CleanChoice Energy brand.

  • Provide feedback on email template design and make recommendations for testing and improvements based on subject matter expertise

  • Act as overall email/SMS subject matter expert, ensure design and templates are responsive, adhere to brand guidelines, and follow best practice for conversion, deliverability, and engagement

  • Optimize to scale email and SMS channel growth through the development of an effective A/B and multivariate test and learn approach

  • Collaborate with the MarTech product manager on  Braze system administration

  • Support the growth of a multi-channel CRM strategy and new and emerging channels. Work collaboratively across the Marketing, Data Science, Product, Technology, and Operations teams to develop strong, productive relationships with coworkers

  • Stay current on and experiment with new digital and direct response marketing tactics to increase conversions, LTV, and make it easy for customers to support clean energy

  • Other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications and Skills

  • You have 5+ years of experience in a relevant role including marketing automation, digital, email, growth, or lifecycle marketing

  • You have demonstrated experience driving business value and executing marketing campaigns through email, SMS, and/or other digital channels in an enterprise Email or Marketing Automation Platform like Braze, SFMC, Marketo or similar

  • You have 2+ years of effectively managing full time direct reports and external vendors

  • You have familiarity with building and modifying action-based campaigns and customer lifecycle journeys

  • You make data-driven decisions, have a proven track record for running tests and optimizing campaigns, and clearly communicate results and learnings

  • You have strong creative and copywriting skills and can clearly communicate product benefits and create customer experiences that make an impact

  • You’re a process-first person: you like understanding and improving systems of data organization and task management. When you get unexpected results, you get to the bottom of the issue and document your findings so the next person can benefit

  • You’re proactive, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage multiple tasks and projects with varying schedules simultaneously

  • You work well cross-functionally with internal and external teams

  • You have excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with Braze Marketing Automation Platform is strongly preferred

  • Ability to translate user journey and digital data insights into action

  • Familiarity with Agile workflow, JIRA, Monday.com, or other work management tools

  • Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools like Domo

  • Experience with CDPs like Segment

  • Knowledge of email and SMS best practices to maximize deliverability and conversions

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics to track conversion and measure campaign ROI/ROAS

  • Experience with SMS marketing

  • Experience in clean energy, solar, or utility categories

  • Passion to make the world a better place through 100% clean electricity and protecting the environment for future generations
