Operations Coordinator

The Position:

The Operations Coordinator is a key member of the operations team serving as a swiss army knife able to adapt to and accomplish myriad tasks as needed. This person enjoys solving puzzles and thrives on implementing operational efficiencies to support a foundation that enables our consultants to do their best work. The Operations Coordinator is intellectually curious and tech-savvy. They appreciate a collaborative work environment and open exchange of ideas, and can also work heads-down independently. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Human resources

  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and promotion procedures

  • Manage all logistical aspects of employee training, including scheduling, communication, and participant enrollment

  • Process employee updates such as address changes, benefits changes, name changes, etc.

    Talent acquisition and retention

  • Support recruiting - post jobs, schedule interviews, conduct reference & background checks, etc.

  • Assist with performance management activities

  • Lead recognition for performance and retention

  • Support mentoring, cohort, and firm contribution programs

    Facilities and supplies management

  • Sort and distribute all incoming mail

  • Manage and order supplies for the office and kitchen area

  • Manage and maintain conference and team room spaces 

  • Manage day-to-day relationship with vendors (supplies, kitchen items, copier/scanner, building maintenance, etc)

    Event planning and executive support

  • Coordinate quarterly company meetings

  • Assist with periodic company social events

    IT

  • Manage and maintain select portions of IT inventory and processes

  • Coordinate with IT services vendor to resolve staff IT helpdesk tickets and general IT issues

    Customer service

  • Answer phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner

  • Greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner

  • Reply to general information requests in a timely manner with accurate information

  • BA/BS required with a strong academic background

  • 1-3 years of experience supporting office administration, HR, or Operations

  • Ability to work effectively on projects with demanding deadlines in a team environment 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge 

  • Ability and desire to take initiative and ownership over project work and professional development and growth 

  • Knowledge and appreciation of business concepts 

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation software 

  • Interest in working with public sector clients, operations, HR, and Recruiting

    The Location:

    Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C. and works in a hybrid model, allowing our staff to work remotely while collaborating with the team in the office regularly. Our office is conveniently located in the heart of downtown D.C., just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights. 

    The Fine Print:

  • The expected salary range for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year

  • The operations coordinator role will be a full-time in-office position with some flexibility for occasional remote work

  • This is an exempt, full-time position
