Location: Washington, DC

Type of Position: Full-time

AnthroMed Education is currently seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our new therapy services in Washington, DC. This clinician will provide in-person direct services and progress reports for a blended caseload of 25-30 students with AAC skills. As the dedicated SLP, you’ll be an essential part of the team, working closely with students, families, and educators to provide quality speech and language services.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a partner school for students. We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our speech therapy team on a full-time basis for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing speech, language, and communication services to address communication disorders.  

Additional responsibilities will include;

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication skills

  • Consult with families, caregivers, and educators to support treatment goals and strategies

  • Implement and manage augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices

  • Adjust treatment plans as needed based on students progress and changing needs

  • Develop and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments

  • Conduct push-in therapy sessions within the classroom to facilitate generalization of skills

    Speech Language Pathologist Requirements:

  • School-based and/or pediatric experience working with all ages

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • A valid DC SLP license from the District Columbia’s Department of Health
