Description We are looking to bring on board a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Information Technology industry in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including bank and general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and system implementations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accurate financial transactions

• Processing general ledger reconciliations monthly, and providing necessary supporting documents

• Utilizing Dynamics SL to manage, post, and review journal entries, while ensuring the highest level of accuracy

• Assisting in preparing comprehensive financial reports, analytics, and statements for management review

• Participating in the implementation and deployment of accounting systems, procedures, and policies

• Collaborating with team members to hit financial targets and ensuring adherence to accounting principles

• Addressing and resolving any discrepancies or irregularities in the accounting process

• Providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation to assist in annual audits. Requirements • Applicant must possess a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory

• Experience in executing Bank Reconciliations is required

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations is necessary

• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries is essential

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is expected

• Knowledge of the accounting software is a prerequisite for this role

• Proficiency in the accounting software is highly desirable
