Job Summary:

The Operations Analysis Manager is responsible for organizing, managing, and supervising the data analytics and reporting in support of the Operations department. This is inclusive of but not limited to forecast, inventory, sales, and financial data. This position is also responsible for the ideation and development of various data warehouse projects that best support the goals of the Operations team and Drew Marine business. This position assists in supporting the S&OP process through meeting management and following up with and managing Demand Plan reporting. This position will report directly to the Director of S&OP and Demand Planning and will also collaborate with many other members of business units throughout the company. To ensure the integrity and consistency of the information reported both internally and external to the Company, the Operations Analyst Manager will constantly monitor approved projects and programs to determine if said projects/programs are meeting their stated goals. Following completion of projects, the Operations Analysis Manager will continue to monitor and measure the enduring financial impacts of such projects/programs for sustainability. Key specific functions will include monthly reporting and analysis of actual results against forecast/ budget, participating in the annual budget preparation, supporting various projects with financial analysis, and being the point person for operating a consolidation system to track and performance. This position has no direct reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present reporting dashboards (Power BI) to senior management, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support Operations department projects and initiatives with various analysis and reporting.

  • Support and prepare S&OP meeting presentations with data visualization, insights, and recommended actions for improvement where required.

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Operations performance, reporting on root causes and driving corrective actions.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of forecast errors, service level gaps (On Time In Full, OTIF), and inventory performance metrics (Days in Inventory, Months of Coverage, Turns), flagging risks.

  • Monitor and analyze business profitability; highlighting risks and opportunities to management.

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or closely related field.

  • 8-10 years’ full-time work experience in different areas of business (accounting, reporting, budget, audit, management, financial analysis).

  • Knowledge and experience with budgeting, capital project analysis, financial benchmarking, and variance analysis.

  • Strong experience with data analysis, creating dashboards, utilizing applications such as Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL.

  • Ability to summarize extensive data and bring context to information for effective decision making and management.

  • Experience in manufacturing/chemical/logistics industry desirable, but not required.

  • Experience with JDE desirable, but not required.

  • Strong communication and listening skills with ability to work effectively in a multi-national, multi-cultural, global organization.

  • Ability to report accurately, meets tight deadlines, work on projects independently, and be self-motivated

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Working Environment:

The position works mostly in a climate-controlled office environment, however field observations as well as possible (up to 10%) domestic and international may be required as needed.
