Vocational Floor Coordinator

Department: Vocational

Reports To: Vocational Program Manager

Schedule: 9am- 5pm Monday Friday

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Salary:

Job Description:

The floor coordinator will provide operational oversight of vocational programs including employment, day and/or community integration services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Under the direct supervision of the Vocational Program Manager, the floor coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the management of Day Program, including implementing individuals program, staff training and ensuring that all Therap responsibilities are completed effectively by staff. Floor coordinator will be assisting with scheduling, participating in meetings, IPs and biannual, writing reports, and ensuring compliance with company and Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS) Duties include monitoring the overall daily operations of the vocational program, providing supervision, and training to Direct Support Professionals. Floor coordinator should have a clear understanding of Therap, EVV, Sandata, WebResDay, Relias and Paycom usage. Strong software skills, including Word, Excel are required. The floor coordinator should have similar experience working in a vocational program and previous experience with supervising and training staff. The floor coordinator should have excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to train others.

Job Responsibilities:

Day to Day Operations and Program Support:

  • Monitor daily operations of the vocational program.

  • Monitor appropriateness of programs in meeting the vocational, emotional, social, medical, clinical, and physical needs of each individual.

  • Schedule assignments of Direct Support Professionals to ensure daily ratio compliance.

  • Collaborate with staff members to plan or develop programs of events, schedules of activities.

  • Meet with managers or other administrators to stay informed of changes affecting operations.

  • Ensure staff is engaging with individuals and following individualized plan.

  • Share any staffing/ individuals concerns with Vocational Managers.

  • Understand, follow, and enforce all policies and procedures.

  • Assist vocational manager as needed

  • Understand and assist with scheduling, attendance, and Paycom as directed.

  • Assist with time station.

    Training:

  • Participate in personnel processes and assist the vocational department in orienting and training and developing new Direct Support Professionals as directed.

  • Provide training to staff and individuals on all activities, jobs, and job checklist.

  • Train Direct Support Professionals in proper operational procedures and explain company policies.

    Documentation:

  • Ensure that IP data has been documented on Therap by staff prior to their shift ending.

  • Work alongside with Training/Support Program Coordinator to ensure data has been recorded appropriately by staff.

  • Send daily reports to managers of any missing data on Therap.

  • Assist Training/ Support Program Coordinator as needed.

  • Participating in IPs and biannual, writing reports, and ensuring compliance with DDS is met.

    Other:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the workings of each department and team in the company.

  • Attend mandatory trainings and administrative meetings.

  • Maintain required ICES Inc. trainings and certifications.

  • Work on the floor as needed.

  • Administration on-call rotation for the vocational program.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • At least one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in an educational/vocational setting preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

  • Therap Proficient.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
