The Position: The Director of Risk Management and Insurance is responsible for managing the corporate risk management and insurance programs with a concentration on risk identification, risk transfer and risk financing strategies. This position coordinates closely with estimating/operations/project management, legal, compliance, claims, safety, and human resources while implementing risk management policies and processes to protect company\'s assets and minimize liability exposures. The core responsibilities include: Procure, manage & administer corporate property and casualty insurance programs as well as Cyber Risk, Management Liability, and Environmental Liability insurance. Manage insurance strategy with brokers including approval of submissions and negotiation of coverage terms and premiums. Strategize claim management improvements including oversight of third-party administrators, insurers, and defense attorneys. Work with claims, legal and insurance companies for overall strategy improvements. Conduct risk identification and measurement through bid and contract reviews, analysis of historical loss data and field audits and visits. Analyze and understand insurable risks and potential risk mitigation opportunities; interact with operational groups to ensure coordination between project activities, exposures, and appropriate insurance coverage.
