JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Details Job Location Wisconsin Centrifugal - Waukesha, WI Position Type Full Time Job Shift 1st Shift Description This position is responsible for developing and maintaining melt, heat treatment, and other necessary metallurgical practices to produce assigned alloys to customer requirements, and to ensure part routings meet customer specifications. Provide technical expertise to solve product and process metallurgy problems for assigned alloys referred by internal or external customers. Investigate process or product issues and define and implement salvage operations and corrective actions. Support the development of new alloys, parts, and processes. Plan and oversee adherence to the department budget. Recruit employees and assign, direct, and evaluate their work. Responsible for department performance to expectations as well as development and deployment of staff to meet those expectations. Champion MetalTek values, beliefs, and behaviors to foster a culture of serving external and internal customers. Qualifications The candidate we seek will possess a Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Metallurgical or Materials Engineering. 5-10 years engineering experience in the metals/foundry industry or foundry casting experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as experience with melting, heat treatment, welding, mechanical testing, and metallography are also needed. Experience directing the work of others is a plus. US Citizenship required.
