Starting Pay $19.00/Hour and up based on experience

Position Summary:The objective of the Compliance Coordinator is to sustain regulatory and contractual compliance (primarily DHS88); including researching new tools/mechanisms for improving program compliance and achieving continuous quality improvement. Perform internal audits quarterly and communicate with leadership to assure preparedness associated with internal audits and state surveys.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates program services documentation to assure regulatory and contractual compliance

  • Conducts quarterly audits of all licensed facilities and communicates results to Executive Director, Program Director, RN, Maintenance Coordinator, and program managers, as appropriate

  • Monitors progress toward compliance goals and deadlines and reports on the status of progress to Executive Director, Program Director, RN, Maintenance Coordinator, and program managers as appropriate

  • Coordinates with the Executive Director, Program Director, RN, and program managers, to measure and assure overall agency compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations

  • Responsible for all ongoing communication, paperwork, license renewals, and corrective action plans, etc. with DQA

  • Submits license application to DQA and conducts Internal Initial Licensure Audits to assure new AFH’s preparedness for DQA inspection

  • Prepare managers, leaders, and HR to work with DQA to provide assistance during on-site surveys and investigations

  • Coordinates abuse investigations per the Internal Abuse and Neglect Investigation Procedure. Coordinates with investigative team to guarantee resident safety. Assures HR manager involvement in all decisions involving any form of disciplinary action

  • Monitor the materials status of all agency first aid kits and replace materials as needed

  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with agency standards and applicable local, state and federal laws

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Remains current in field by maintaining awareness of changes in regulatory and contractual obligations. Attends seminars and conferences, as appropriate

  • Remain current on all DQA regulations and communicate all changes and updates to appropriate agency personnel

  • Attend agency and departmental meetings

  • Attend on-going training sessions both at Opportunity Inc. and through other sponsoring organizations

  • Communicate with HR to ensure department is up to date on all compliance and regulatory file obligations

  • Other job related duties as may be necessary of this position

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, or equivalent experience and education is preferred

  • Two years of related experience working in the human service field required

  • Effective communication skills

  • Experienced in coaching or training others on expectations

  • Detail oriented

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent decision making skills with follow through ability

  • Investigative skills

  • Ability to work independently and frequently switch tasks

  • Requires valid WI driver’s license, at least 3 years driving experience and a good driving record with clean driving record

  • Requires skill in writing and speaking clearly and effectively

  • Requires ability to clearly understand regulatory requirements

  • Requires ability to make logical decisions; carry out decisions made; and follow-up with feedback when appropriate
