JOB REQUIREMENTS: Linetec POSITION SUMMARY Transport AFS materials between plants, divisions and local outside companies. Spot and move trailers as required. POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a valid Class A CDL and observe all local and interstate driving and licensing regulations Unload trailers of carts, skids, equipment and extrusions using fork trucks, etc. Verify quantities and accurately tag material Maintain telephone contact with Supervisor/Lead to receive instruction Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water and follow up with appropriate individuals and complete inspection log Position and secure cargo during transit when necessary Assist with distributing appropriate quantities to staging areas/carts using lifts or manually storing excess material in appropriate areas Support Six Sigma/Lean and the continuous improvement process Adhere to established safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all associates Adhere to established policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Undertake job responsibilities in a manner of consistent with the company\'s Core Values May be required to perform other company duties as needed and assist in other departments as requested. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; 0-1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Must have valid/current CDL license with clean MVR record Use of hand tools and machinery Communicate effectively in a verbal and a written manner Computer software proficiency in the following is preferred: CTO-Pro View- location specific Intranet ERP software (Epicor/MES)- location specific AS400 - location specific Ability to work independently or as part of a team Work quickly and accurately WORK ENVIRONMENT The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and high, precarious places.
