Job Purpose and Impact

The Global Category Marketing Manager will identify, develop, and lead the marketing strategy, priorities and investments for the global Dietary Supplements category. You will apply insights and in-depth knowledge of business drivers to develop compelling value propositions that resonate with customers and create sustainable value for Cargill. In this role, you will apply broad and in-depth knowledge of the business, market, customer drivers and product or category offerings to inform and direct customer driven marketing initiatives that accomplish business and financial goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide thought leadership in the development and execution of marketing strategy and annual plans for the global Dietary Supplements category, in alignment with broader business objectives. Translate Strategic Marketing plans into clear, smart action plans measured against key performance indicators.

  • Partner collaboratively with the broader global and regional marketing teams to inform comprehensive category or product promotional programs, campaigns, and other marketing activations in alignment with budgets and relevant competitive, customer and market dynamics. Drives awareness and brand equity via insights-driven marketing activities.

  • Partner strategically with cross functional teams to understand and apply customer needs, competitor intelligence, market trends and consumer behaviors to drive where to play and how to win decisions for the product or category, improve overall positioning and advance customer value capture.

  • Ensure the category product portfolio is healthy and drives growth by spearheading innovation, new product development, co creation of customer solutions and product commercialization initiatives.

  • Position and build the EpiCor brand and product portfolio, driving awareness and brand equity.

  • Provide expert thought leadership to design launch strategies for new products, services or solutions as measured by key performance indicators, partnering collaboratively across commercial and technical functions to optimize customer engagement and demand.

  • Drive customer experience improvements for the global Dietary Supplements category, developing and activating differentiated customer value propositions in partnership with broader teams.

  • Provide guidance on the development and delivery of marketing trainings and collateral for the global Dietary Supplements category.

  • Develop impactful, customer driven sales tools and materials to support the commercial and GTM teams in driving awareness of our Dietary Supplement solutions and capabilities.

  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

  • Lead regional trade show and conference strategy, overseeing budgeting and managing execution through marketing generalist; assist with global trade show execution.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related marketing experience

  • Minimum of two years supervisory or leading experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or masters of business administration in marketing

  • Food ingredients/nutrition B2B industry experience

  • Category experience in Dietary Supplements

  • Proven track record of commercial success in B2B strategic marketing

  • Experience and proven track record in brand building

Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $130,000 to 160,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
