This is an on-site position at our Webster, MA campus.

You will be eligible for comprehensive benefits as of Day One.

This position pays between $60K - $80 to start, depending upon experience.

Job Summary

Supports the company’s need to ensure newly hired and existing internal and vendor employees are properly and professionally trained in a variety of skills. Collaborates with enterprise business leaders and team members to identify and assess training needs. Designs, develops and implements engaging and effective learning solutions to expand individual and organizational skills, including e-learning programs. Works with management and business team members to develop and maintain knowledge bases that include reference materials, system procedures, and leader and instructional guides to ensure program integrity. Facilitates classroom and virtual learning activities and programs focused on technical systems, skill development, on-the-job employee coaching and customer-centric service related topics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Lead, facilitate, and deliver training through a variety of methodologies included but not limited to classroom sessions, Web-based instruction (Teams, WebEx and Zoom, etc.) remote and onsite coaching sessions, and on-the-job training.

  • Serve as program manager for assigned curriculum, ensuring content stays relevant, up-to-date and consistent with company business strategy and KPI goals.

  • Design and develop instructional curricula and courseware including but not limited to, instructor led training modules for onsite, remote and hybrid learning.

  • Conduct needs analysis/meetings to review skill gaps and training needs.

  • Develop strong relationships and rapport with business partners to assist with identifying customer centric related challenges and address performance situations requiring training.

  • Formulate outlines and determine instructional methods, such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, meetings, job aids, performance support tools, Webinars, and workshops or self-guided modules, including e-learning.

  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of the Learning Management System (LMS) by ensuring learning item descriptions and goals are detailed and accurate and learning transcripts are updated upon course completion.

  • Measure effectiveness of training programs and develop reports and program analysis as needed.

  • Provide strategic insight to leadership for continuous evolution of training programs.

  • Adheres to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Human Resources Policy Guide and follows departmental and functional area standards, rules, guidelines, processes, and policies as identified by management.

Instructional Design and Knowledge Management experience, preferred

Looking for a candidate who is agile with experience in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Proficient in all MS Products required; working knowledge of MS Teams helpful.

Willingness and ability to travel to other Company locations may be required, based on business need (10-20%)

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.

Experience: 2 - 4 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 4 - 6 years.

Knowledge: General knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within field of work. Applies them to perform work requiring analytical business skills.

Decision Making: Makes decisions related to a wide variety of situations within determined limits. Interprets guidelines and procedures, applying judgment and discretion. Decisions influence portions of a project, client relationships and/or expenditures.

Supervision Received: Works independently under general supervision. Work is reviewed for overall adequacy in performing tasks.

Leadership: Provides guidance and training to less experienced staff as needed. Takes a lead role in group, team or project.

Problem Solving/Operations/Direct Work Involvement: Develops solutions to a variety of problems, typically of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to and interprets policies and practices for guidance.

Client Contacts: Contacts other departments and or external organizations or parties frequently. Contacts are primarily at or below middle management levels. Communication is primarily task-related and involves creating and delivering varied types of messages and information.

  • Prior classroom facilitation and systems training experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of insurance industry and technical experience preferred

  • Demonstrates a proactive, positive approach and strong problem solving skills

  • Experience with virtual learning environments preferred

  • Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development techniques

  • Ability to develop and proof training materials

  • In conjunction with other training team members, be able to conduct needs analysis, design, and develop learning solutions.

  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions.

  • Ability to suggest enhancements to existing training programs, interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or graphic form, interpret and apply concepts to practical situations and interact comfortably with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Strong communications skills, computer and assessment skills, planning and organizational skills
