Summary

Under the direction of the County Administrator, the employee assists in performing duties to ensure the efficient and effective accounting operations of the Commission Office. This employee assists in preparing and monitoring the County finances and budget. Conducts research, analyzes information, develops financial projections with impacts on the County, and makes recommendations to the County Administrator. This job is considered security-sensitive and is subject to a pre-employment background check.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Finance - the employee assists in performing duties to ensure the efficient and effective accounting operations of the Commission Office.

Create new vendors in the financial management software using the vendor's W9.

Reconciles all bank statements to the general ledger for approval by the County Administrator.

Prepares journal entries necessary to process the monthly fuel transfers from various funds back to the 7c Gas Tax Fund for approval by the County
