SALARY RANGE Introductory Period: New employees holding regular positions must complete an introductory period of twelve months.
The starting salary range for the GIS Solutions Engineer I is $69,600 - $87,000 (based on qualifications). With tenure and strong performance in this role an employee may earn up to a maximum of $104,400, annualized.
The starting salary range for the GIS Solutions Engineer II is $83,680 - $104,600 (based on qualifications). With tenure and strong performance in this role an employee may earn up to a maximum of $125,520, annualized.
The starting salary range for the GIS Solutions Engineer III is $98,240 - $122,800 (based on qualifications). With tenure and strong performance in this role an employee may earn up to a maximum of $147,360, annualized.

Overview The GIS (Geographic Information System) Solutions Engineer Level I-III is the subject matter expert for the development, testing, and deployment of software tools within the geospatial environment. Responsible for the creation of solutions, assuring integration, and advising clients of future technical implementations. Includes designing and developing GIS mapping applications, geoprocessing tools, and supporting technologies to support District strategy, understanding client needs , analyzing end-user issues while providing solutions, providing demonstrations, creating guides and documentation to explain GIS application use to customers, providing maintenance and support of GIS applications and mapping systems, assisting in quality assurance checks on GIS systems, and recommending updates or new techniques when applicable.
