Description

We are seeking a Controller in the manufacturing industry, based in West Chester, Ohio. This role involves assisting with the accurate and timely close process, preparing and reconciling journal entries, maintaining fixed asset ledgers, and preparing managerial financial reports. This role is a contract role with potential for hire.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the accurate and timely close process.

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Maintain the company's fixed asset ledger and reconciliations, including compiling monthly roll forwards, additions, disposals, and transfers.

• Verify the accuracy of assets and ensure they are capitalized in accordance with company capitalization policies.

• Prepare managerial financial reports.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools to carry out tasks.

• Perform accounting functions and auditing tasks as required.

• Participate in budget processes and manage manufacturing costs.

• Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and other Manufacturing Cost Accounting tools.

• Conduct account reconciliation, balance sheet account reconciliation, bank account reconciliation, and inventory analysis as per US GAAP and General Ledger guidelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the role of Controller or a similar position

• Understanding of Budget Processes

• Experience in Manufacturing industry

• Familiarity with GAAP Accounting

5+ years relevant accounting and finance experience

Bachelor's Degree required
