Ethicon's Pricing & Contract Strategy organization is responsible for delivering profitable growth across all product platforms by developing and implementing pricing and contracting strategies nationally, optimizing customer offer development, and creating pricing tools and reports. We partner directly with the Field Sales Organization, Brand Marketing, Account Management, Deal Desk, Contracting, and others to unlock value. The Pricing & Contract Strategy organization is accountable for an annual price goal, part of Ethicon's overall sales performance.

The Senior Manager of Pricing & Contract Strategy develops pricing matrices and platform contracting programs, using market insights and analysis to improve volume and market share growth, optimize profitability, and deliver outstanding customer responsiveness. This role governs a Contracting & Pricing Committee (CPC) and leads customer compliance processes, ensuring fact-based decision making, including assessment of upside and risks. The Senior Pricing Manager develops comprehensive price forecasts and reports for Senior Leadership in concert with broader platform and P&L goals and plays a significant part in Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) strategy development, covering $2.5B in annual sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and evolve Ethicon's Pricing Matrix: discount and rebate structure, business rules, and delegations

  • Lead GPO offer development including structure, incentives, and benchmarking

  • Lead customer contract compliance process including making decisions on price changes

  • Develop price reporting packages including commentary based on market and customer insights

  • Chair and vote on NeuWave / Linx CPC

  • Build business analytics using contracting systems, external pricing data, and customer segmentation to guide overall pricing strategy

  • Train commercial organization on price strategy including platform contracting program rollout and execution

  • Consult on list prices based on marketing brand ladders, financial goals, and ability to implement in complex market

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a BS/BA degree

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant business experience in Pricing, Finance, Sales, Marketing, or Commercial Leadership

  • Ability to analyze diverse data sets, make meaningful connections, and summarize trends

  • Ability to form strong, trust-based relationships across functions

  • Strategic mentality, sound business insight, and creative problem solving

  • Excellent writing and presentations skills

Preferred:

  • Healthcare industry and/or MedTech experience

  • Knowledge of Profit & Loss Statement, gross profitability, and U.S. healthcare system landscape

  • The ability to influence across a highly-matrixed organization

  • Experience working with sales and marketing teams and Senior Leadership

Other:

  • Domestic travel of up to 10%.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
