Johnson & Johnson MedTech and Synthes GmbH, is recruiting for a Sr. LCM Manager, Screws PFT to be located in either West Chester, PA or Zuchwil, Switzerland.

Our Sr. LCM Manager Screws PFT will be shaping, developing, and leading a successful team in the execution of the technical lifecycle management for a portfolio of medical device products/technologies manufactured at external manufacturers located globally.

This role will entail collaborating with multiple business partners to ensure that all lifecycle management activities related to patient safety, compliance, quality, service, growth, and value are implemented to exceed business metrics. This leader will work in concert with Product Value Stream Leaders to identify and implement critical projects that will transform the DPS supply chain to deliver outstanding performance.

This role is also responsible for leading critical supply chain strategic projects and issue management activities, project portfolio execution within the product category, providing insights to Value Stream Leaders for consideration into Product Strategy Roadmaps, business process management and continuous improvement, execution and maturation of process governance with external manufacturers, maintenance of departmental and project capital/expense budgets, seamless integration of newly stabilized products into E2E LCM process, and improvement of the End to End (E2E) supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the single point of contact for a product category and/or process technology

  • Lead and support lifecycle management projects and issue management teams

  • Actively lead and drive improvements in supply chain operational metrics with relevant external manufacturers and suppliers

  • Direct project portfolio management via robust LCM process execution (intake/approval/delivery)

  • Identify interdependencies and risks across project portfolio and implement mitigations which result in seamless project execution which exceeds business expectations

  • Lead critical issues and strategic supply chain projects impacting patient safety, compliance, quality, service, growth, and value.

  • Mentor and coach the Screws PFT team in professional competencies (e.g. FPX/PMP), continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, LEAN).

  • Lead lifecycle management governance process with both internal and external business partners

  • Develop a positive relationship with external manufacturers and suppliers via strong communication, frequent interactions, site visits, and identification of win/win opportunities that serve both JNJ and the external manufacturer/supplier.

  • Partner with the Product Management team for relevant products throughout Stage Gates 3-6 to facilitate knowledge transfer into team and ensure seamless integration of newly stabilized products into the LCM process after completion of Stage Gate 6.

Qualifications

Qualifications Education/Training:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Science, or a related Field required

  • Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies is required

  • Project management methodology certification (e.g., PMP/PMI, FPX)

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, or Relevant field (6 with Master’s degree, 4 years with PhD)

  • Work experience within the healthcare (i.e. Medical Technology or Pharmaceuticals) industry

  • Project Management experience, including developing and implementing processes for new or existing products/process and/or new technologies

  • Proven experience in leading internal or external manufacturers

  • Competent in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, budget management, and organizational change techniques

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation) to effectively persuade and work across segments and functions at all levels of the organization
