We Are Looking For

Reporting to the Vice President Supply Chain Depuy Synthes, the Vice President TECA (Trauma, Extremities, Craniomaxillofacial, Animal) and Sports Supply Chain is expected to lead the E2E Supply Chain operational execution to contemporary, best practice manufacturing and supply chain processes and techniques on a global scale, including the integration of acquired entities. He/she is also expected to provide a practical and intellectual understanding of the global Med Tech industry and its channels. This leader will have a strong combination of strategic vision and a willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of global manufacturing and supply chain operations as appropriate. The Vice President Supply Chain for TECA & Sports will have global Supply Chain leadership responsibility for a multibillion platform across multiple External and Internal Manufacturing Sites globally. The VP TECA & S Supply Chain will be a member of the Depuy Synthes Supply Chain Leadership Team and the TECA & Sports Platform Leadership Team.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain strong connection to Customer & Business Unit (Globally and Regionally).

  2. Execute a Network Optimization strategy to rationalize the facility footprint, get leverage on technology, and significantly improve efficiencies. Develop and communicate an ongoing Supply Chain Plan relative to the Trauma & Sports Business Strategy (at all levels) – aligned with key stakeholders and the enterprise supply chain.

  3. Establish, integrate & institutionalize Global Engineering aligned by technology platform.

  4. Execute flawlessly global NP Launches. Drive innovation in support of manufacturability and process development.

  5. Align metrics and KPI’s, with focus on Reliability, Innovation, Profitability and Cashflow metrics. Set Performance Targets for both Internal and (aligned with) External Manufacturing Ops to meet Business Unit & Enterprise goals.

  6. Drive Standardization & Synergy across the network with aligned best practices

  7. LEAN and Digital Capabilities – ensure emphasis on Innovation to drive improvement.

  8. Establish processes to manage and balance the Supply Chain Portfolio of projects

  9. supporting all areas of performance improvement including, Reliability, Capacity, NPI, Profitability, Compliance and SC Digitalization.

  10. Engage the workforce with a clear and compelling vision with emphasis on “one global team” focused on the customer.

  11. Responsible to balance and drive continuous improvement in Cost, Customer Service & Product Quality. Ensure minimal compliance risk.

  12. Responsible for managing capital investments to support Growth and deliver Capital efficiency.

  13. Drive continuous cost improvement in Gross Profit and COGS aligned to Business Strategic Plan.

Qualifications

Required

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, or supply chain disciplines.

  • 15 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility managing large, multi-site, global organizations, with end-to-end supply chain experience.

  • Experience with the global demands of the role specifically: multi-cultural / multi country locations and applicable local labor law, healthcare regulatory requirements, tax law, and logistics.

  • Significant experience in Med Tech Supply Chain, including manufacturing.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30-40 percent.

Preferred

  • Graduate degree/studies in science, business, engineering, finance or organizational management or equivalent experience.

  • Proven track record of engaging organizations and demonstrating collaboration across all levels.

  • Strong intellect with strategic and tactical thinking abilities, complemented by operational and business planning orientation.

  • Accountable and driven to deliver results, embracing change, and engaging in constructive conflict.

  • High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to make complex concepts easily understood.

  • Demonstrates financial, moral, and personal integrity with values that inspire trust.

  • High level of business acumen and expertise in end-to-end supply chain processes, with foresight to mitigate risks.

  • Strategic thinking and vision to develop a high-performing supply chain and drive process improvements.

  • Strong financial acumen in managing large program budgets and projecting future costs.

  • Experienced in managing complex transformational projects across various functions to drive business outcomes.

  • Broad understanding of core supply chain areas such as Spend Management, Category Management, and Supplier Management.

  • Customer-oriented, establishing strong relationships with senior management and making the customer central to thinking.

  • Multi-country and multi-sector experience, with exposure to varied geographies and businesses.

  • Cultural fit within a complex organization, committed to continuous improvement.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing products/businesses in FDA regulated environments.

  • Exceptional track record as a partner in global leadership teams, collaborating with R&D, commercial, and regional partners.
