Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Work on a team that provides high-quality assembly services to some of the biggest name companies in Agriculture, Transportation, and Power Generation! You will be responsible for building repeatable sub-assemblies for customers, including building tanks, running hoses, and pressure testing tanks. You will work off of blueprint diagrams, use hand and power tools to remove, repair, and assemble parts, and perform complete rework on equipment. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build repeatable sub-assemblies for customers (mostly New Flyer and other bus companies)

• Build tanks, run hoses, and pressure test tanks

• Work off of blueprint diagrams

• Use hand and power tools to remove, repair, and assemble parts

• Perform complete rework on equipment

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations

• Inspect the quality of assembled parts and components

• Kit products and get components ready for installation

Essential Skills

• Mechanical assembly experience

• Experience with power tools and hand tools

• Ability to read and work off of blueprint diagrams

• Mechanical assembly experience in automotive or agriculture

• 2 years of mechanical assembly experience

• 2 years of power tool/hand tool experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Agriculture or farm experience (fixing or working on farm equipment)

• Experience in manufacturing, schematic reading, and using overhead cranes

• Experience with gearboxes

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility where different components for subwork are assembled for various companies, including New Flyer, other bus companies, box truck companies, heaters, and blankets. The warehouse occupies about half of the building, with everything stored on shelves in boxes. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with some overtime as of late, staying until 4:30 or 5:00 pm.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
