Robert Half Accounts Receivable Representative in West Hartford, Connecticut

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in West Hartford, Connecticut. The successful candidate will be joining our team in a workplace that values detail-oriented and organized individuals. This role centers around the management of customer credit accounts, including processing applications, maintaining records, and resolving inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly

• Analyze and investigate underpaid claims and patient balances to facilitate payment and resolution

• Identify and communicate payer and system trends to management

• Ensure compliance with payer contracts, regulations, guidelines, as well as State and Federal laws relating to billing and collection procedures

• Facilitate reimbursement from responsible parties for agency services through direct contact

• Follow up on denied claims and patient balances to ensure resolution

• Understand billing procedures and account follow-up processes

• Collaborate with the team to ensure quality assurance in all tasks

• Stay updated on the latest industry regulations and compliance functions to ensure accurate and compliant billing processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Familiarity with billing and collection processes

• Understanding of claim administration procedures

• Knowledge of regulations in relation to accounts receivable

• Ability to perform compliance functions in line with federal law

• Experience in submission, reimbursements, and handling denials

• Understanding of payer processes in relation to patient balances

• Preference for local candidates

• Proven experience in QA management

• Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in using computer software and applications related to the job

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
