Robert Half Plant Controller in West Lafayette, Indiana

Description

We are looking for a diligent and experienced Plant Controller to join our client in the West Lafayette, Indiana area. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our finance team, responsible for coordinating all plant accounting and financial reporting activities. You will also develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control, as well as conduct technical analysis for present and future financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Control production costs and manage inventory

• Develop an efficient financial reporting structure

• Lead a local, growing finance team

• Regularly report on financial status and performance

• Lead forecasting and budgeting processes

• Implement and manage the ERP system

• Model company core values: Trust, Drive, Expertise, and Support

• Create financial business plans for prospective new business models

• Undertake other financial projects as assigned

Skills:

• Proficiency in 3M, ADP - Financial Services, CapEx, Eaton, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and About Time

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Budget Processes and Capital Management

• Knowledge of Cost - Standard and Annual Physical Inventory

• Ability in Budgeting - Forecasting

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the role of Plant Controller or similar.

• Proficiency in 3M, ADP - Financial Services, and Eaton is required.

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, About Time, Accounting Functions, and Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.

• Must have experience in handling Budget Processes, Capital Management, and Cost - Standard.

• Should have a background in Annual Physical Inventory and Budgeting - Forecasting.

• Experience in managing CapEx is a must.

• Candidates should be well-versed with accounting software and tools.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.

• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is necessary.

• Strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance related to the job function.
