In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. If you're looking for work where you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. Those with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets are preferred.

What you get to do every single day

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Requirements

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Microsoft Excel experience desired

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Experience with ERP systems

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• 1 + years of recent and relevant accounting experience
