Summary This position is located at West Point Leisure Travel Services. Responsibilities Works under general supervision of the Leisure Activities Manager. Accompanies guests during tours. Gives detailed explanations and interpretations of tour features from the standpoint of historical development and historical background, introduction, and discussion of facts and features influencing present condition. Provides information of historical facts and other characteristics of the tour area and circumstances associated with their origin. Serves as sales clerk on a rotating basis. During assigned shift, provides information to guests upon request, i.e., tour schedules, prices, length of tours, etc. Sells various accountable and non-accountable tickets, souvenir booklets, etc., and keeps applicable records thereof. Prepares daily activity reports indicating number of passengers of each tour, tickets sold, money collected etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Must speak and write the English language sufficiently to communicate orally or in writing on matters pertaining to the assigned work. Spelling and grammar must be correct. 2. Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire. HIGHLY PREFERRED: 1. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc,) The experience must be reflected on your resume at the time of application to be considered a highly preferred candidate. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
