The Patient Access Concierge II is an experienced professional who ensures accurate patient registration and financial clearance, including eligibility verification, referral and authorization management, and exceptional customer service. This role also supports team training, troubleshooting, workflow optimization, and process improvements to enhance patient access services.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and update patient eligibility, registration, and authorization information.
Provide first-line support to staff, troubleshoot issues, and resolve patient or workflow concerns.
Assist in onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development.
Monitor and adjust workflows to address staffing needs, patient volume, and system efficiency.
Enforce quality standards, conduct audits, and provide feedback to improve performance.
Support management with hiring, staff evaluations, and process implementation.
Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for operational enhancements.
Qualifications:
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams.
In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance regulations.
Proficiency in EPIC (preferred) and data entry/typing skills (40 wpm).
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
1–3 years of experience in hospital billing, insurance follow-up, or customer service.
High school diploma or equivalent.
This role is essential for ensuring a seamless patient registration experience and maintaining operational excellence within Loyola’s patient access services.
