Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences. null This position reports to Manager, Supply Chain Management 2 Your role and responsibilities Procurement: Sourcing as required to meet customer requirements; working with challenging suppliers to maintain agreed terms and deliveries Support global sourcing initiatives as required, join category teams as needed Establishing new suppliers to meet ABB requirements as needed by the business Team player, support team members to ensure all customer requirements are accomplished Work with a multitude of different types of suppliers and different requests as needed by the business Work closely with suppliers to ensure all invoicing procedures are properly followed. Drive the proper actions with the project team and suppliers to resolve invoicing discrepancies and promote proper payments Engage proper functions, which may include AP (Average Price Accounts Payable), Goods Receipt team, Controllers, Suppliers, Project team, etc Excellence: Applies and implements procurement standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability Remain up to date on all ABB procurement systems/tools. Play a proactive role in problem prevention/solving during the project life and perform as the procurement specialist/expert for your project teams Reporting: Creates and updates reports as needed to meet requirements for special projects Change management: Executes and implements new directions within the area of responsibility Compliance: Applies standards on health, safety, environment and business ethics within operational work, contract management and negotiations Training: Delivers and participates in training programs as required for compliance and professional development Train other departments or team members on new processes or changes as required Communication: Executes effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers Process: Standardizes processes and implements routines as per Group directives/instructions Qualifications for the role Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing or operations preferred; or high school diploma and minimum 9 years experience in supply management Sound knowledge of procurement processes Negotiation tactics Good understanding of contract management Wide range know how in supplier management and supplier relationship Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently Experience in working in international environments and managing stakeholders of varying management levels Knowledge of SAP and SAP Ariba Proficient with MS Office Suite Experience in qualifying suppliers based on risk mitigation and understanding the need to obtain safety and insurance based on the project Experience in a project business / environment Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Wellbeing program Healthcare plan More about us Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries.
